Acknowledgement of Junior Coaches

The Varsity athletes of SCTP may have the opportunity to take the NRA Certified Shotgun Coaches Course.  This is a very valuable course which will serve them well if they continue in the clay target sports.  In order to qualify as an NRA Junior Shotgun Coach, not only must they complete the same course as the adult coaches, but they must submit their application with three letters of recommendation, one of which is written by a parent or guardian.

An NRA Certified Junior Shotgun Coach shall be signified with a special pin for their Varsity Letter in any of the clay target disciplines.

Having an NRA Certified Junior Shotgun Coach Certificate does not automatically entitle a student to a Varsity Letter.  All requirements as stated above must be met to earn a Varsity Letter in the clay target sports.
